Learning to read and write is no easy task! Have you ever noticed that certain sounds play tricks on us and can be written more than one way? For example, in French, the sound ‘j’ can be written as j or g.
Orthographic stories help children memorize more easily words that are at risk for being misspelled due to the different graphemes possible for the same sound.
The words are regrouped and integrated in a short story to allow children remember the correct spelling. They’ll be able to think back to the story to know the correct spelling.
